Week Notes 2026-30
Monday, July 27th
- I went ahead and bought
neodoc.stylefor the Neopolitan lexicon for the AT Proto Atmosphere.
I'm excited to get to work on it for real when I get back to my house (I'm still on a road trip helping a relative move).
time passes...
scratch that. I set up the home page and a bluesky account.
The idea is singing in my head. I could see it doing really well. (I don't think I'm getting manic, but it's a big idea in the grandeous sense)
- I didn't do much on the color picker today. All my dev time went into the neodoc site.
I want to get that wrapped up, but my brain latched onto getting the first iteration of the neodoc site out.
By the way, Neopolitan is officially renamed to Neodoc now.
-
Did some family moving stuff to.
-
I didn't bring my good headphones with me on the trip. Just earbuds. The air handler of the place I'm staying is super loud. Enough that it bugs me. Went out and got a pair of cheap headphones yesterday from target. I mean, $10 cheap. They sound pretty good. They get uncomfortable after a bit though. Worth it to block out the noise from the A/C.
Wednesday, July 29th
-
Did the 10 hour drive to return home. Was listening to music and thinking about NeoDoc the entire time. (You can always tell when I'm deep in though on a road trip if I don't to any podcasts or audio books.)
-
Ended up streaming a little bit and started working on a new extract for the NeoDoc parser.
Thursday, July 30th
-
A little more work on the parser.
-
Went to the retirement party for the last boss I had at the PGA TOUR. Couldn't have asked to work for a better dude. Even at the party he was saying that he didn't do anything but try to clear the way for us to do our work.
Which, I don't think you could ask for a better approach.
And, as someone pointed out there was a lot of stuff to clear.
The Rest of the Week
- Launched NeoDoc.style and neodoc.style.
Spent most of my energy writing and not as much on the parser. That's fine, but I'm ready to get back to extracting the parser so I can start building on top of it.
